Intro

In January 2026 we will be returning to Venice to run our popular Quiet Venice workshop- an opportunity to try something different and book based with a small group of fellow creatives based in the quieter areas of this stunning city.

This is not a traditional venetian photography workshop, we will balance photography, editing, printing and book making. If you haven't been to Venice before, we suggest you go with one of the many excellent photo companies. I can personally recommend Light & Land and Dawn-to-Dusk. You won't be disappointed.

Our visit will focus more on the low key and less trodden paths. Looking for light and shade, atmospheres and impressions, details, abstracts, textures and colours. We will capture these moments using your favourite tools. You could easily use just your phone. Adrian's extensive knowledge of phone and conventional photography, editing and printing (yes printing!) combined with Clea's creative and book making skills will allow you to express yourself in print. We will have printers available and plan to make a book or two during the workshop. We will also plan to visit local artisans who might inspire your book project. January is quiet; there are few tourists, so we can focus and enjoy this special place, returning home with something unique to treasure rather than just a card of images.

Agenda

We will adjust the agenda based on the weather but our plan will be to photograph in the mornings and review, edit and create in the afternoons. We plan also to include a pre-dawn and night outing, Venice at nights is especially photogenic.

Start and End times

The workshop starts at 5pm on 19th Jan and ends at 5pm on the 23rd Jan. We have booked the hotel for the night of the 23rd so you can relax at the end of the last day and return home on the 24th.... or if you are an infrequent traveller to Venice we highly recommend adding some extra nights to explore beyond the workshop.

Accommodation

Our hotel is selected to make the most of the areas we intend to explore during your stay, with straightforward access via the city’s Vaporetto and Alilaguna transport systems. You will receive full details of how to get to the hotel from Marco Polo / Triviso airports and full address of our hotel after booking.
