Trees, Moss and Tor

Dartmoor

23rd - 27th February 2026

Dartmoor is known for its stark isolated granite tors and moss laden ancient boulders and woodland. Our visit to Dartmoor has been chosen especially prior to the leaves arriving to reveal a beauty in the woodland and landscape that is difficult to see once the trees are flush with new growth. Silvery branches lit by the low angle of the winter sun are translucent and merge with each other and with the landscape. Overlapping branches are a chaos to unravel. There are moss covered boulders and babbling brooks to explore and a local Tor. These are the things that will surround us at our cosy retreat. With printing and book making equipment on hand we will try and capture this beauty and create a unique memoire or two while immersed in this special place.
